Part A of the ISPS Code definition

Part A of the ISPS Code means the Preamble and the mandatory requirements forming Part A of the ISPS Code, as attached as Annex II to this Regulation, concerning the provisions of Chapter XI-2 of the Annex to the SOLAS Convention in its up-to-date version,
Part A of the ISPS Code means the Preamble and the mandatory requirements forming Part A of the ISPS Code concerning the provisions of Chapter XI-2 of the Annex to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as amended, set out in Resolution 2 adopted by the Diplomatic Conference of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) on 12 December 2002 and attached as Annex 2 to this Regulation,
Part A of the ISPS Code means the Preamble and the mandatory requirements forming Part A of the International Code for the Security of Ships and of Port Facilities, as amended from time to time (but this is subject to the provision made by Article 10 about the application of Part A of the Code by virtue of Article 3).”.

Examples of Part A of the ISPS Code in a sentence

  • In respect of international shipping, Member States shall apply in full, by 1 July 2004, the special measures to enhance maritime security of the SOLAS Convention and Part A of the ISPS Code, in accordance with the conditions and with respect to the ships, companies and port facilities referred to therein.

  • Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 15.4 of Part A of the ISPS Code, the periodic review of the port facility security assessments provided for in paragraph 1.16 of Part B of the ISPS Code shall be carried out at the latest five years after the assessments were carried out or last reviewed.

  • Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 15.4 of Part A of the ISPS Code, the periodic review of the port facility security assessments provided for in paragraph 1.16 of Part B of the ISPS Code shall be carried out at the latest 5 years after the assessments were carried out or last reviewed.

  • In respect of domestic shipping, Member States shall apply, by 1 July 2005, the special measures to enhance maritime security of the SOLAS Convention and Part A of the ISPS Code to Class A passenger ships within the meaning of Article 4 of Council Directive 98/18/EC of 17 March 1998 on safety rules and standards for passenger ships (1) operating domestic services and to their companies, as defined in regulation IX-1 of the SOLAS Convention, and to the port facilities serving them.

  • The Interim ISSC shall be issued in a Form corresponding to the model given in the Appendix 2 to the Part A of the ISPS Code and the validity should not exceed more than six (6) months.

  • Based on paragraph 13.14 of the ISM Code and paragraph 19.3.5 of Part A of the ISPS Code, an extension of the validity of the Safety Management Certificate and Ship Security Certificate with 3 months may be granted.

  • MISCELLANEOUS 21 Minimum period for retention of recordsRecords of the activities specified in paragraph 10.1 of Part A of the ISPS Code and which are addressed in the ship security plan shall be kept on board the ship for a period of at least 3 years from the date of the activity taking place.

  • In respect of domestic shipping, the Minister shall apply, by 1 July 2005, the special measures to enhance maritime security of the SOLAS Convention and Part A of the ISPS Code to Class A passenger ships within the meaning of Article 4 of Council Directive 98/18/EC of 17 March 1998 on safety rules and standards for passenger ships operating domestic services and to their companies, as defined in regulation IX-1 of the SOLAS Convention, and to the port facilities serving them.

  • In respect of international shipping, the Minister shall apply in full, by 1 July 2004, the special measures to enhance maritime security of the SOLAS Convention and Part A of the ISPS Code, in accordance with the conditions and with respect to the ships, companies and port facilities referred to therein.

  • A ship security plan may set out duties and responsibilities of a CSO or SSO that are in addition to the duties and responsibilities of a CSO and SSO in sections 11.2 and 12.2, respectively, of Part A of the ISPS Code.

Related to Part A of the ISPS Code

  • Socially and economically disadvantaged person means an individual who is a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States and who is Black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, Female; or a member of another group or an individual found to be disadvantaged by the Small Business Administration pursuant to Section 3 of the Small Business Act.

  • Public Finance Management Act ’ means the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999);

  • Cosmetic Surgery means any Surgery, service, Drug or supply designed to improve the appearance of an individual by alteration of a physical characteristic which is within the broad range of normal but which may be considered unpleasing or unsightly, except when necessitated by an Injury.
