Participant Users definition
Participant Users as to the HIE and CRISP Services, shall mean those health care providers and other employees, staff, professional or medical staff, contracted medical providers, agents or other Workforce members of Participant and Other Participants who have been authorized by Participant or Other Participant to utilize the HIE for Permitted Purposes through Participant’s System or through user interfaces made available by CRISP and who have, at the request of Participant or as otherwise as provided in the Policies and Procedures, been assigned a user name and password by CRISP pursuant to this Agreement. CRISP will establish, through its Policies and Procedures, terms and conditions applicable to Participant Users that are members of the professional staff of those Participants and Other Participants that have organized professional staffs. Participant Users shall only be natural persons and shall not be other legal or operating entities or affiliates or subsidiaries of Participant except as may be provided in the Policies and Procedures. References to Participant will be deemed to include a reference to the Participant’s Participant Users unless the context requires otherwise.
Participant Users may include, but are not limited to, Health Care Providers; Health Plans; individuals whose health information is contained within, or available through, a Participant’s System; and employees, contractors, or agents of a Participant. A Participant User may act as either a Submitter, Recipient or both when Transacting Message Content. hh. Payment shall have the meaning set forth at 45 C.F.R. § 164.501 of the HIPAA Regulations.

Authorised Client Users: those employees, agents and independent contractors of the Client and any Authorised Group Member who are authorised by the Client to use the Services (excluding for the avoidance of doubt Participant Users).

Participant Users means those persons who have been authorized by a Subscribing Participant to access Health Data through the Network and in a manner defined by the respective Subscribing Participant, in compliance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement and Applicable Law. “Participant Users” may include, but are not limited to, health care providers and employees, contractors, or agents of a Subscribing Participant.
