State institution of higher education means the state universities listed in section 3345.011 of the Revised Code, community colleges created pursuant to Chapter 3354. of the Revised Code, university branches created pursuant to Chapter 3355. of the Revised Code, technical colleges created pursuant to Chapter 3357. of the Revised Code, and state community colleges created pursuant to Chapter 3358. of the Revised Code.
Public institution of higher education means Rutgers, The State
Institution of higher education means an institution of higher education listed in Section 53B-2-101.
Higher education institution means an institution as defined by Sections 401(f), (g) and (h) of the federal Higher Education Facilities Act of 1963, as amended.
Institutions of higher education means the University of
higher education means higher education within the meaning of Part 2 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992;
Higher Education Act means the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, together with any rules, regulations and interpretations thereunder.
Postsecondary educational institution means a degree- or certificate-granting public or private college or university, junior college, or community college that is located in this state. The term includes the governing body of the postsecondary educational institution.
Eligible educational institution means that term as defined in section 529 of the internal revenue code or a college, university, community college, or junior college described in section 4, 5, or 6 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963 or established under section 7 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963.
Continuing education provider or “CE provider” means an individual or entity that is approved to offer continuing education courses pursuant to [insert reference in State law or regulations governing producer continuing education course approval].
Cooperative education program means a written voluntary agreement between and among districts to provide certain educational programs for pupils in certain groups of districts. The written agreement shall be approved by all affected districts at least annually and shall specify the educational programs to be provided and the estimated number of pupils from each district who will participate in the educational programs.
college of further education means a college of further education within the meaning of Part 1 of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992;
Qualified higher education expenses means qualified higher education expenses as defined in section 529 of the internal revenue code.
Local education provider means a school district
Continuing education means planned, organized learning acts designed to maintain, improve, or expand a licensee’s knowledge and skills in order for the licensee to develop new knowledge and skills relevant to the enhancement of practice, education, or theory development to improve the safety and welfare of the public.
Alternative education program means a school or separate class group designed to best serve students’ educational needs and interests and assist students in achieving the academic standards of the district and the state.
Continuing education credit or “CE credit” means one continuing education credit as defined in [insert reference in State law or regulations governing producer continuing education course approval].
Eligible postsecondary institution means an institution as defined in Iowa Code section 261C.3.

Continuing education unit (CEU) means a unit of measure of educational credit which is equivalent to ten (10) hours.
Qualifying Educational Program means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires each student taking the program to spend not less than 10 hours per week on courses or work in that program.
Participating institution means an "institution" as defined in KRS 164.001 that actively participates in the federal Pell Grant program, executes a contract with the authority on terms the authority deems necessary or appropriate for the administration of its programs, and:
Participating Financial Institution means a Financial Institution that has been approved by the Authority to enroll Qualified Loans in the Program and has agreed to all terms and conditions set forth in the Law and this Article and as may be required by any applicable federal law providing matching funding.
