Participating Regions definition

Participating Regions means, collectively, all these regions;

• The Recipient shall ensure that funds transferred to Participating Regions for Project activities will be counted as additional funding on top of federal contributions to the Regions and not be offset in the formula for allocating Regional funds.

• Perform the periodic maintenance of: (i) about 2,700 km of selected regional road segments rehabilitated by PVR as the same are transferred to the Participating Regions; and (ii) other selected regional road segments as rehabilitated under the Project, by contracting out the private sector to perform said periodic maintenance and related supervision on said selected regional road segments.

• Component A: Strengthening of Primary Health Care Services in Participating Regions (total estimated costs US$m 53.8, of which Bank financing US$m 18.6): The component comprised three subcomponents, namely: (i) construction, consolidation and rehabilitation of Selsky Vrachebny Punkti (SVPs – rural medical centers), (ii) upgrading of services; and (iii) health promotion.

• The Borrower shall ensure that the Participating Regions shall be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the regional components of Part A of the Project, and that the Sub-borrowing Regions shall be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Part B of the Project, all with technical assistance to be provided by the FER.

More Definitions of Participating Regions

Participating Regions are the following administrative units defined in Article 114 of the Italian Constitution: Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Xxxxxx Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche, Molise, Piemonte, Puglia, Sardegna, Sicilia, Toscana, Umbria, Val d’Aosta, Veneto, and the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano; and “Participating Region” means each participating region or autonomous province, individually considered.

Participating Regions means the Borrower’s counties (aspkritis) of Alytus, Kaunas, Utena, and Vilnius;
