Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility definition

Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility means an institution or a distinct part of an institution that is primarily engaged in providing to inpatients skilled nursing care and related services for persons under 21 years of age who require medical or nursing care or rehabilitation services for the rehabilitation of injured, disabled, or sick persons.
Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility means any building or buildings, or other place, whether operated for profit or not, which undertakes through its ownership or management to provide basic residential services to three (3) or more medically dependent or technologically dependent children who are notrelated to the owner or operator by blood, marriage or adoption and who require such services. Infants and children considered for admission to a Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility must be ventilator dependent or otherwise medically dependant pediatric patients who require medical and nursing care or rehabilitative services; thus having complex medical conditions that require continual care. Prerequisites for admission are a prescription from the child’s physician and consent from a parent or guardian.

  • Skilled Nursing Facility means an institution or part thereof that is licensed as a Skilled Nursing Facility by the State of Florida, and is accredited as a Skilled Nursing Facility by The Joint Commission or recognized as a Skilled Nursing Facility by the Secretary of Health and Human Services of the United States under Medicare.

  • Non-Administrator Skilled Nursing Facility means a Skilled Nursing Facility which does not have an agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan but has been certified in accordance with guidelines established by Medicare.
