All mentors selected will receive compensation at the following rate: 1st year Peer Mentoring: Mentor to a beginning teacher: $1200 Mentor to an experienced teacher new to the district: $1000 2nd year Peer Mentoring: Mentor of beginning teacher: $600 Mentor to an experienced teacher new to the district (when deemed necessary by administration): $500 In the event of state aid for a mentoring program becomes available, the highest rate will be paid to mentors.

Crisis Stabilization services include psychiatric evaluations, nursing assessments, consultations with significant others and outpatient providers, individual and family education, crisis intervention services, counseling/therapy services provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Marriage Family Therapist, basic medical services, medication services, and referrals and linkages to the appropriate level of continuing care and community services, including Peer Mentoring services.
Peer Mentoring / Counseling and Peer Mentor-facilitated support group services shall include, but are not limited to, provision of psychoeducational counseling and support activities including HIV support groups, caregiver support, and bereavement counseling.
If a Peer Mentor becomes employed by DSHS during the course of the period of this Contract, that Peer Mentor is considered disqualified from providing Peer Mentoring Services under this Contract, and DSHS will require that the Contractor terminate that Peer Mentors participation under this Contract.
Orientation shall include what the Peer Mentoring Service is, the roles and responsibilities of the Peer Mentor, and intended program outcomes.
