Loss of Use means the total and irrecoverable loss of function of an arm, hand, foot, leg or thumb and index finger of the same hand provided such loss of function is continuous for 12 consecutive months and such loss of function is thereafter determined on evidence satisfactory to Chubb Life to be permanent.
Permanent exclusion means the student is banned forever from attending a public school in the State of Ohio. (See Policy 5610.01)
Permanent radiographic installation means an enclosed shielded room, cell, or vault, not located at a temporary jobsite, in which radiography is performed.
Permanent Total Disablement means a bodily injury caused by accidental, external, violent and visible means, which as a direct consequence thereof totally disables and prevents the insured from attending to any business or occupation of any and every kind or if he/she has no business or occupation, from attending to his/her usual and normal duties that last for a continuous period of twelve calendar months from the date of the accident, with no hopes of improvement in future
Permanent Works means the permanent works to be executed by the Contractor under the Contract.
Data Loss Event means any event that results, or may result, in unauthorised access to Personal Data held by the Contractor under this Agreement, and/or actual or potential loss and/or destruction of Personal Data in breach of this Agreement, including any Personal Data Breach.
Permanent Post means a post carrying a definite rate of pay sanctioned without limit of time.
Substantial damage means damage of any origin sustained by a structure whereby the cost of restoring the structure to its before damaged condition would equal or exceed 50 percent of the market value of the structure before the damage occurred.
Excluded Downtime has the meaning set forth in Section 2 below.
Permanent Work means the permanent works including equipment to be supplied, executed, erected and maintained in accordance with the Contract.
Loss of Limb means loss by physical severance of a hand at or above the wrist or of a foot at or above the ankle.
Loss of Speech means the disability in articulating any three of the four sounds which contribute to the speech such as the Labial sounds, the Alveololabial sounds, the Palatal sounds and the Velar sounds or total loss of vocal cord or damage of speech center in the brain resulting in Aphasia.
Packet Loss means the difference between the number of service frames transmitted at the ingress UNI and the total number of service frames received at the egress UNI. Packet Loss may also be referred to as Frame Loss.
Loss or Damage means any loss or damage to the Vehicle, including that caused by theft of the Vehicle or by adverse weather events, that requires repair or replacement including the loss of use of the Vehicle (demurrage), legal expenses, assessment fees, towing and recovery costs, storage, service charges and any appraisal fees of the Vehicle;
Radiographic exposure device means any instrument containing a sealed source fastened or contained therein, in which the sealed source or shielding thereof may be moved, or otherwise changed, from a shielded to unshielded position for purposes of making a radiographic exposure.
Loss of Hand or Foot means complete severance through or above the wrist or ankle joint. (In South Carolina, "Loss of Hand" can also mean the loss of four whole fingers from one hand.)
Permanent residence means a place where the person abides, lodges, or resides for 5 or more consecutive days.
Material Damage and “materially damaged” means, with respect to the Facility, damage (x) which, in Buyer’s reasonable estimation, exceeds $150,000 to repair, or (y) which, in Buyer’s reasonable estimation, will take longer than ninety (90) days to repair or restore.
Direct Damage has the meaning given in clause 24.2; "Dispute" has the meaning given in clause 23.1;
Permanent Position Any position which has required, or which will require the services of an incumbent without interruption, for an indefinite period.

Termination, Moving You may cancel your acceptance of the Agreement with XOOM at any time prior to midnight of the thirtieth (30th) calendar day after the date of the first bill from your utility that includes XOOM charges for gas supply service without penalty or cancellation fee by calling XOOM at 0-000-000-0000 or by sending an email to xxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxx.xxx. When moving to an address within your local utility’s service territory, XOOM will make every effort to transfer your service to your new service address, provided that you notify XOOM within fifteen (15) days of your move. If a transfer of service is not successful or you move to a location outside your local utility’s service territory, you may cancel this Agreement at no cost to you. Failure to notify XOOM of your move will be considered a cancellation of this Agreement in accordance with its terms.
permanent resident means any occupant of any room or rooms in a hotel or transient accommodation for at least 90 consecutive days shall be considered a permanent resident with regard to the period of such occupancy.
