Permitted Foreign Air Authority definition

Permitted Foreign Air Authority means the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Kingdom, the Direction Generale de l'Aviation Civile of the French Republic, the Luftfahrt Bundesamt of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Rijflauchtraatdienst of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Ministry of Transportation of Japan or the Federal Ministry of Transport of Canada (and any agency or instrumentality of the applicable government succeeding to the functions of any of the foregoing entities).

  • Approved Foreign Bank has the meaning specified in the definition of “Cash Equivalents.”

  • Foreign Air Carrier ’ means a person, not a citizen of the United States, undertaking by any means, directly or indirectly, to provide foreign air transportation.

  • Culinary water authority means the department, agency, or public entity with

  • designated foreign jurisdiction means Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland;

  • local planning authority in relation to an area means⎯

  • foreign regulatory authority means a securities commission, exchange or other securities market regulatory authority in a designated foreign jurisdiction;

  • Excluded Foreign Subsidiaries any Foreign Subsidiary in respect of which either (i) the pledge of all of the Capital Stock of such Subsidiary as Collateral or (ii) the guaranteeing by such Subsidiary of the Obligations, would, in the good faith judgment of the Borrower, result in adverse tax consequences to the Borrower.

  • Foreign tribunal means a court, administrative agency, or quasi-judicial entity of a foreign country which is authorized to establish, enforce, or modify support orders or to determine parentage of a child. The term includes a competent authority under the Convention.

  • Designated Foreign Subsidiaries means all members of the Company Group that are organized under the laws of any jurisdiction or country other than the United States of America that may be designated by the Board or the Committee from time to time.

  • Michigan economic growth authority means the Michigan economic growth authority created in the Michigan economic growth authority act, 1995 PA 24, MCL 207.801 to 207.810.

  • Public health authority means an agency or authority of the United States, a state, a territory, a political subdivision of a state or territory, an Indian tribe, or a foreign government, or a person or entity acting under a grant of authority from or contract with such public agency, including the employees or agents of such public agency or its contractors or persons or entities to whom it has granted authority, that is responsible for public health matters as part of its official mandate.

  • Foreign central authority means the entity designated by a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.

  • Sanitary sewer authority means the department, agency, or public entity with responsibility to review and approve the feasibility of sanitary sewer services or onsite wastewater systems.

  • Applicable Insurance Regulatory Authority means, when used with respect to any Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department or similar administrative authority or agency located in (x) the state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is domiciled or (y) to the extent asserting regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary, the insurance department, authority or agency in each state or other jurisdiction in which such Insurance Subsidiary is licensed, and shall include any Federal insurance regulatory department, authority or agency that may be created in the future and that asserts regulatory jurisdiction over such Insurance Subsidiary.
