Persons of Low or Moderate Income definition

Persons of Low or Moderate Income means persons and families within the state who are determined by the authority to lack sufficient income to pay enough to cause private enterprise to build an adequate supply of decent, safe and sanitary residential housing in their locality or in an area reasonably accessible to their locality and whose incomes are below the income levels established by the authority to be in need of the assistance made available by the Mortgage Finance Authority Act, taking into consideration the following factors:
Persons of Low or Moderate Income means persons or families who lack the amount of income which is necessary, as determined by DSHA or the local authority undertaking a project, to enable them without financial assistance to live in decent, safe and sanitary dwellings, without overcrowding.

In accordance with the Plan, persons of low- and moderate-income who are eligible for assistance in accordance with the plan are as follows:
