Physiotherapy treatment definition

Physiotherapy treatment means the therapeutic use of physical agents or means, including heat, cold, light, air, water, sound, electricity, massage therapy or bodywork therapy, and physical exercise with and without assistive devices, to treat or manage injury, disease, bodily defects, or bodily weaknesses.

Examples of Physiotherapy treatment in a sentence

  • You understand and agree that before Physiotherapy treatment occurs you must (a) ensure that the patient is a Member; (b) ensure that the Member has pre-authorised the treatment with us; and (c) have confirmed with the Member their level of coverage.

  • Chiropractor and Physiotherapy treatment will be covered up to $25.00 per visit for a combined total of $500.00 per year.

  • Where, in your judgement, out-patient Physiotherapy treatment will not be effective in treating the Member’s symptoms, and you believe that other treatment may be required, then Members will be referred back to Bupa for an open referral and onward referral to a Bupa recognised consultant (where clinically appropriate).
