Preferred Dentist definition

Preferred Dentist means one of a network of Participating Dentists who, at the time of rendering a Covered Dental Service to the Member, has a written agreement with CareFirst BlueChoice or the Dental Plan for the rendering of such service.

  • If a Preferred Dentist is not reasonably available when a Member requires emergency care (Palliative Treatment and/or Emergency Oral Exam), benefits will be paid based on the "In-Network" Coinsurance percentage listed in the Schedules of Benefits.
