Prescription Splitting means any one or a combination of the following actions:

  • Prescription device means an instrument, apparatus, implement, machine, contrivance, implant, in vitro reagent, or other similar or related article, and any component part or accessory, which is required under federal or state law to be prescribed by a practitioner and dispensed by or through a person or entity licensed under this chapter or exempt from licensure under this chapter.

  • Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

  • Prescription means an order for drugs or medical supplies, written or signed or transmitted by word

  • Prescription drugs means drugs, medicine and controlled substances which by law can only be prescribed for human use by persons authorized by law.

  • Blasting means the use of explosive materials to fracture:

  • Scaling as used herein, involves:

  • Prescription monitoring program “PMP,” or “program” means the program established pursuant to 657—Chapter 37 for the collection and maintenance of PMP information and for the provision of PMP information to authorized individuals.

  • Participating Prescription Drug Provider means an independent retail Pharmacy, chain of retail Pharmacies, mail-order Pharmacy or specialty drug Pharmacy which has entered into an agreement to provide pharmaceutical services to participants in the benefit program. A retail Participating Pharmacy may or may not be a select Participating Pharmacy as that term is used in the Vaccinations Obtained Through Participating Pharmacies section.

  • Disinfection means a process which inactivates pathogenic organisms in water by chemical oxidants or equivalent agents.

  • Prescription medication means any medication that requires a physician prescription before it may be obtained from a pharmacist.

  • Sterilization means the procedure that kills all microorganisms, including their spores.

  • Flexographic printing means the application of words, designs, and pictures to a substrate by means of a roll printing technique in which the pattern to be applied is raised above the printing roll and the image carrier is made of rubber or other elastomeric materials.

  • Stability (7) means the standard deviation (1 sigma) of the variation of a particular parameter from its calibrated value measured under stable temperature conditions. This can be expressed as a function of time.

  • Electronic prescription means a written prescription that is generated on an electronic application and is transmitted to a pharmacy as an electronic data file; Schedules II through V prescriptions shall be transmitted in accordance with 21 CFR Part 1300.

  • Eating means feeding oneself by getting food into the body from a receptacle (such as a plate, cup or table) or by a feeding tube or intravenously.

  • Scale means the height, width and length of each building proposed within the development in relation to its surroundings;

  • Detoxification means a process whereby an alcohol or drug intoxicated, or alcohol or drug dependent, individual is assisted through the period of time necessary to eliminate, by metabolic or other means, the intoxicating alcohol or drug, alcohol or drug dependent factors, or alcohol in combination with drugs, as determined by a licensed Health Professional, while keeping the physiological risk to the individual at a minimum.

  • COVID-19 symptoms means fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea, unless a licensed health care professional determines the person’s symptoms were caused by a known condition other than COVID-19.

  • Centralized prescription processing means the processing by a pharmacy of a request from another pharmacy to fill or refill a prescription drug order or to perform processing functions such as dispensing, drug utilization review, claims adjudication, refill authorizations, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Prescription drug order means an original or new order from a practitioner for drugs, drug-related devices or treatment for a human or animal, including orders issued through collaborative care agreements. Lawful prescriptions result from a valid practitioner-patient relationship, are intended to address a legitimate medical need, and fall within the prescribing practitioner's scope of professional practice;

  • Stacking (or “Stackable”) means the application of more than one of the same Subscription to account for additional capacity.

  • Antipsychotic medications means that class of drugs

  • Testing means that element of inspection that determines the properties or elements, including functional operation of materials, equipment, or their components, by the application of established scientific principles and procedures.

  • Sample means urine, blood, breath, saliva, or hair.

  • Nonambulatory means the condition of a person who immediately and without the aid of another person is not physically or mentally capable of traveling a normal path to safety, including the ascent and descent of stairs.
