Pressure drop definition

Pressure drop means the drop in static pressure versus air flow rate across air filter media in the forced-air heating or cooling equipmentsystem.
Pressure drop means static pressure loss in fluid pressure, as in one end of a conduit to the other due to friction. “Psig” means pounds per square inch gauge.

  • Pressure means the total load or force per unit area acting on a surface.
