Production Strain definition

Production Strain means recombinant yeast or some other microbial agent that has been genetically engineered to make a desired compound or product by means of a fermentation process.
Production Strain means any Narrow Production Strain and/or any Broad Production Strain.
Production Strain means recombinant yeast that: has been genetically engineered by or on behalf of ABI (which shall be deemed to include any Production Strains made by AB on behalf of ABI) to make a five carbon (C5), ten carbon (C10), or a fifteen carbon (C15) isoprenoid product during fermentation.

  • Any such Production Strain Work shall be overseen by the JRC or a subcommittee of the JRC formed for such purpose.

More Definitions of Production Strain

Production Strain. Production Strain" shall mean a codon optimized Pseudomonas fluorescens strain that is derived from the Pfenex Expression Technology™ provided by Dow to VGX pursuant to this Agreement including VGX's gene encoding for the Vpr protein and is the strain designated CS469-002 (cytoplasmic) created as part of the Services under the Letter Agreement between VGX and DOW with an effective date of February 9, 2006. Additionally, the five (5) other strains designated CS469-001, CS469-003, CS469-007, CS469-008, CS469-009 and developed under the services performed as part of the Letter Agreement between VGX and DOW (dated February 9, 2006) are also included under "Production Strain". The nucleotide sequences of each Production Strain are listed in Appendix C of this Agreement.

  • Commercialization or “Commercialize” means any and all activities undertaken at any time for a particular Licensed Product and that relate to the manufacturing, marketing, promoting, distributing, importing or exporting for sale, offering for sale, and selling of the Licensed Product, and interacting with Regulatory Authorities regarding the foregoing.

  • Tetrahydrocannabinol or "THC" means the natural or synthetic equivalents of the substances contained in the plant, or in the resinous extractives of, cannabis, or any synthetic substances, compounds, salts, or derivatives of the plant or chemicals and their isomers with similar chemical structure and pharmacological activity.

  • Manufacturing operation means a process in which materials are changed, converted, or transformed into a different state or form from which they previously existed and includes refining materials, assembling parts, and preparing raw materials and parts by mixing, measuring, blending, or otherwise committing such materials or parts to the manufacturing process. "Manufacturing operation" does not include packaging.

  • Development Application means the development application identified in Item 5 of Schedule 1 and includes all plans, reports models, photomontages, material boards (as amended supplemented) submitted to the consent authority before the determination of that Development Application.

  • Licensed Process means a method, procedure, process, or other subject matter whose practice or use is Covered By any claim or claims included within the Patent Rights or uses Technology Rights.

  • Project Specific IPRs means: (a) IPRs in the Services provided by the Supplier (or by a third party on behalf of the Supplier) specifically for the purposes of the Contract and all updates and amendments of these items created during the Contract Period; and/or (b) IPRs arising as a result of the provision of the Services by the Supplier (or by a third party on behalf of the Supplier) under the Contract, [including the rights in or to any database developed and supplied by the Supplier to the Customer in accordance with the terms of this Contract;

  • Collaboration Compound means any of the following: (a) FG-4592, (b) any HIF Compound (other than FG-4592) that is added to this Agreement pursuant to Section 3.6, and (c) any salts, esters, complexes, chelates, crystalline and amorphous morphic forms, pegylated forms, enantiomers (excluding regioisomers), prodrugs, solvates, metabolites and catabolites of any of the foregoing ((a) or (b)).

  • RFP Process or “Bidding Process” means the process governing the submission and evaluation of the Bids as set out in the RFP itself;
