Any person who contravenes any provision of this by-law is, upon conviction, guilty of an offence and is liable to any penalty as provided in the Provincial Offences Act.
Children under 12 cannot be charged with an offence under the Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act, or the Provincial Offences Act, but police may take reports of incidents allegedly committed by students in this age group and may respond in an appropriate manner.
