Examples of Provincial Offences Procedure Act in a sentence
If a Municipal Tag has been issued and if the specified penalty has not been paid within the prescribed time, then a Peace Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to issue a Violation Ticket pursuant to the Provincial Offences Procedure Act.
Nothing in this bylaw shall prevent a Peace Officer from immediately issuing a violation ticket pursuant to Part II of the Provincial Offences Procedure Act, R.S.A. 2000, c.P-34, as amended, to any Person who the Peace Officer has reasonable grounds to believe has contravened any provision of this bylaw.
Notwithstanding Section 7.6.1, a Peace Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to immediately issue a Violation Ticket pursuant to the Provincial Offences Procedure Act, to any person who the Peace Officer has reasonable and probable grounds to believe has contravened any provision of this Bylaw.
Nothing in this bylaw shall prevent any Community Peace Officer from issuing a ticket requiring a court appearance of the defendant, pursuant to the provisions of the Provincial Offences Procedure Act or from laying an information in lieu of issuing a Town Notice of Offence.
Where a Peace Officer believes that a Person has contravened any provision of this Bylaw, that Peace Officer may serve that Person with a Violation Ticket in accordance with Part 2 of the Provincial Offences Procedure Act.
