Public UPREIT definition

Public UPREIT means a real estate investment trust (within the meaning of Section 856 of the Code) (a) that holds all or substantially all of its assets through a single subsidiary operating partnership that is treated as a partnership for U.S. federal income tax purposes and (b) whose common equity interests are listed on the New York Stock Exchange or another national securities exchange.

  • Public use means a publicly owned project or a privately owned project that is available for use by the public.

  • Public Key means the key of a key pair used to verify a digital signature and listed in the Digital Signature Certificate;

  • Public utilities means those utilities defined in sections 4905.02, 4905.03, 4907.02, and 4907.03 of the Revised Code; in the case of a foreign corporation, it means those utilities defined as public utilities by the laws of its domicile; and in the case of any other foreign issuer, it means those utilities defined as public utilities by the laws of the situs of its principal place of business. The term always includes railroads whether or not they are so defined as public utilities.

  • Public utility holding company means: (1) any company that,

  • Public Utilities Act means the Illinois Public Utilities Act, 220 ILCS 5.

  • Public garage means a building or other place where vehicles or vessels are kept and stored and where a charge is made for the storage and keeping of vehicles and vessels.

  • Public utility means any business entity that owns or operates any plant, equipment, property, franchise, or license for the production, transmission, sale, delivery, or furnishing of elec- tricity, water, or steam the rates of charges for goods or services of which have been established or approved by a federal, state, or local government or governmental agency.

  • public units means the state or a political subdivision or instrumentality of the state including a county, school corporation, special district, drainage district, unincorporated town or township, municipality, or municipal corporation or any agency, board, or commission of the state or a political subdivision; any court or public body; an electric power agency; federal and state grant moneys of a quasi-public state entity under Iowa Code section 12C.1, subsection (2e), and this chapter. Public units additionally include, but are not limited to:

  • Public-private partnership means an arrangement or agreement, occurring on or after January 1, 2017, between a procurement unit and one or more contractors to provide for a public need through the development or operation of a project in which the contractor or

  • Public Property means any and all property owned by the City or held in the name of the City by any of the departments, commissions or agencies within the City government.

  • Gas public utility means a public utility, as that term is defined

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • Electric public utility means a public utility, as that term is

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • public road means a road as defined by the Road Traffic Xxx 0000;

  • Diocesan Schools Commission means the education service provided by the diocese, which may also be known, or referred to, as the Diocesan Education Service.

  • Public entity means this State, a political subdivision of this STATE or an agency, board, commission or department of this state or a political subdivision of this state.

  • Public Service Commission means the Public Service Commission constituted under this Constitution;

  • Public-private partnership agreement means an agreement

  • Public organic record means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is:

  • Public highway means a public highway, road, street, avenue, alley, or thoroughfare of any kind, or a bridge, tunnel, or subway used by the public.

  • Public land means land owned by the federal government, the state, or political subdivisions of the state and land acquired or developed for public recreation pursuant to section 321I.8.

  • Public project means any of the following:

  • Taxable Public Property means all Assessor’s Parcels of Public Property that are not exempt pursuant to Section E below.

  • Public nuisance means a building that is a menace to the public health, welfare, or safety, or that is structurally unsafe, unsanitary, or not provided with adequate safe egress, or that constitutes a fire hazard, or is otherwise dangerous to human life, or that in relation to the existing use constitutes a hazard to the public health, welfare, or safety by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence, or abandonment. “Public nuisance” includes buildings with blighting characteristics as defined by Iowa Code section 403.2.

  • Public Procurement means the acquisition by any means of goods, works or services by the government;
