Purchasing for investment definition

Purchasing for investment means a purchase made for investment and not for the purpose of resale. In determining whether securities have been purchased for investment, the length of the period for which the securities are held shall be one of the factors considered. Securities held for one year after their purchase shall be conclusively deemed to have been purchased for investment.
