Rate of Return definition

Rate of Return means the rate used to determine the amount credited monthly to a Participant’s Account under Article IV. Such rate shall be determined by the Administrative Committee based upon the net performance of the Earnings Indices selected by the Participant.
Rate of Return means the Performance Rate (as calculated using the formula below), expressed as a percentage, but subject to a maximum rate equal to the Maximum Rate of Return. If the Performance Rate of the securities is negative, the Rate of Return will be equal to zero. "Maximum Rate of Return" means the maximum rate of return on the Investment, as specified on the Certificate of Deposit.
