Regional Assessment definition

Regional Assessment means the Regional Assessment that is conducted under this Agreement, pursuant to the IAA.
Regional Assessment means a Regional Study pursuant to CEAA 2012 and is a study or assessment of the effects of existing or future physical activities carried out in a region.
Regional Assessment means an assessment of how different scenarios for development, protection and restoration in a region will cumulatively affect values and rights compared to historic and current conditions, in order to identify management standards based on best available scientific and Indigenous and local knowledge, which can be directly applied in project level assessments and regulatory decision- making, and serve as an input to land use planning;

Examples of Regional Assessment in a sentence

  • The Committee will conduct the Regional Assessment in accordance with the IAA, this Agreement, and its Terms of Reference outlined in Appendix B of this Agreement.

  • THEREFORE, the federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change and the provincial Minister of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry together hereby agree to establish a Committee to conduct a Regional Assessment in the area centered on the Ring of Fire mineral deposits in northern Ontario, in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement and the Terms of Reference attached as Appendix B.

  • Members may be from within or outside of government and are to have knowledge or experience relevant to the Regional Assessment.

  • D1.1 The Committee will provide the opportunity to establish, and will seek information and advice from, an Indigenous Elder(s)-led Talking/Sharing Circle during the conduct of the Regional Assessment.

  • Members may vary from time to time accordingly, in relation to the work or expertise required during the course of the Regional Assessment.

  • B2.1 On completion of the Regional Assessment, the Committee will provide the Ministers with a Report, as outlined in the Agreement, which will describe the conduct, and document the results, of the Regional Assessment including the information outlined below.

  • The results of the Comprehensive Regional Assessment of the Forest values of the South-West Forest Region indicated a number of research priorities.

  • B1.1 The Committee will conduct a Regional Assessment in accordance with Sections 92-94 and 96-103 of the IAA, this Agreement and its Terms of Reference (this Appendix).

Related to Regional Assessment

  • Environmental Impact Assessment means a systematic examination conducted to determine whether or not a programme, activity or project will have any adverse impacts on the environment;

  • conformity assessment means the process demonstrating whether the requirements of this Regulation relating to a device have been fulfilled;

  • Risk assessment means a programme to determine any risk associated with any hazard at a construction site, in order to identify the steps needed to be taken to remove, reduce or control such hazard;

  • Functional behavioral assessment means an individualized assessment of the student that results in a team hypothesis about the function of a student’s behavior and, as appropriate, recommendations for a behavior intervention plan.

  • conformity assessment body means a body that performs conformity assessment activities including calibration, testing, certification and inspection;

  • Special Assessment means an assessment levied against property to pay all or a portion of the costs of making improvements that benefit the property.

  • Assessment means determination of tax liability under this Act and includes self-assessment, re-assessment, provisional assessment, summary assessment and best judgement assessment;
