Generation and transmission of power in the region is regulated by the North Eastern Regional Power Commission and the North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre which are the designated apex bodies for integrated operation and management of the Regional Power System (Regional Grid).
Further, load despatch charges payable to System Operators (National load Despatch Centre, Regional Load Despatch Centre, State Load Despatch Centre etc.) for availing load despatch services shall be estimated in accordance with the Fee & Charges approved by the Appropriate Commission, from time to time.

In case of utilization of inter-state transmission system in addition to the intrastate transmission system and/or distribution system by the Open Access User, it shall pay the inter-state transmission charges, Regional Load Despatch Centre (RLDC) charges, as approved by CERC from time to time in addition to the intrastate transmission charges, wheeling charges and SLDC charges payable for the use of intra-state system.
