Sea Duty definition

Sea Duty in this Agreement means a period longer than twenty-four (24) hours during which a bargaining unit member is engaged aboard a vessel and is living aboard a vessel (i.e., eating, sleeping, and working) while the vessel is away from the bargaining unit member's port of engagement. The vessel will normally provide permanent and reasonable facilities for two (2) or more, including cabin, bunks, stove, cooking facilities, marine sanitation device, and fresh water.

Examples of Sea Duty in a sentence

  • SCHEDULE C CONVERSION OF CLASS B SHARES--Approximately seven years after the date of purchase, Class B Shares automatically shall convert to Class A Shares, based on the relative net asset values for shares of each such Class, and shall no longer be subject to the distribution fee and shareholder services fee charged Class B Shares, but shall be subject to the shareholder services fee charged Class A Shares.

  • These considerations are specific to MUSE Seabees serving in MUSE Sea Duty (UIC 39324) or MUSE Shore Duty (UIC 62583) billets within NAVFAC EXWC, Port Hueneme, CA.

  • Those computations dealing with Creditable Service, Deductible Time (except when computing for EOE), Active Duty Base Date, Pay Base Date, Date of Rank, and Creditable Sea Duty all affect a member's pay and should be based on 30 days.

  • Bargaining unit members on Sea Duty will be assigned an uninterrupted sleep period of eight (8) hours in each 24 hours.

  • Sea Duty Pay - Army members who are entitled to basic pay are also entitled, while on sea duty, to special pay at rates which vary with grade and years of sea duty.

  • Sea Duty Pay - Paid to enlisted members who are assigned to duty to a ship, ship-based staff or ship-based aviation unit under general provisions outlined in the DOD FMR, Volume 7A, Chapter 18.

  • Regular Day Off (6th and 7th day) and Non-Floating Holiday: the bargaining unit member will be paid eight (8) hours at the time and one-half (1.5) rate and sixteen (16) hours at the double-time rate of the Sea Duty Hourly Rate of Pay.

Related to Sea Duty

  • Active duty means full-time duty status in the active, uniformed services of the United States, including without limitation members of The National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders under 10 U.S.C. §§ 1209 and 1210.

  • Stamp Duty means the tax levied on the documentation for the Facility as stated in the Stamp Act 1949 and will be deducted from the Proceeds of the Facility.

  • Active duty military means full-time duty status in the active uniformed service of the United States, including members of the National Guard and Reserve on active duty orders pursuant to 10 U.S.C. Section 1209 and 1211.

  • Pattern of racketeering activity means the planned, ongoing, continuous or repeated participation or involvement in any offence referred to in Schedule 1 and includes at least two offences referred to in Schedule 1, of which one of the offences occurred after the commencement of this Act and the last offence occurred within 10 years (excluding any period of imprisonment) after the commission of such prior offence referred to in Schedule 1;

  • Commercially Sensitive Information means the Information (i) listed in the Commercially Sensitive Information Schedule; or (ii) notified to the Authority in writing (prior to the commencement of this Contract) which has been clearly marked as Commercially Sensitive Information comprised of information:

  • Racketeering activity means to commit, to attempt to commit, to conspire to commit, or to solicit, coerce, or intimidate another person to commit:

  • Transit Traffic means traffic originating on CLEC’s network that is switched and transported by AT&T-TSP and delivered to a Third Party Terminating Carrier’s network or traffic from a Third Party Originating Carrier’s network. A call that is originated or terminated by a CLEC purchasing local switching pursuant to a commercial agreement with AT&T-TSP is not considered Transit Traffic for the purposes of this Attachment. Additionally Transit Traffic does not include traffic to/from IXCs.

  • Client Money Rules means the rules specified in paragraph 72 of the Securities Act 2007 which provides for the Provision of Investment Services, the Exercise of Investment Activities, the Operation of Regulated Markets and other related matters

  • Student journalist means a student who gathers, writes, edits, photographs, records, video tapes, or prepares information for dissemination in student media.
