Seniority Rights definition

Seniority Rights. The District recognizes that the purpose of seniority is to provide a declared method for determining the order of layoff and recall of employees. Employees with the least continuous service shall be laid off first. If any opening subsequently occurs, the laid off employee with the most continuous service shall be recalled first. If a former employee elects not to return to work when recalled, the employees shall forfeit seniority rights.

Promotion will be based on seniority and the applicant’s qualifications to fit the job description.

Seniority Rights means the rights accruing to regular employees through Job Seniority or Edison Credit Union Service which entitles them to the preferences provided for in this Agreement. An employee who resigns from Edison Credit Union or is discharged for cause or whose layoff has become permanent as provided in Section 2 (c) of this Article shall lose all seniority rights.

  • Priority Lien Cap means, as of any date, the maximum aggregate principal amount of Indebtedness permitted to be incurred by clause (1) of the definition of Permitted Debt. For purposes of this definition, all letters of credit will be valued at the face amount thereof, whether or not drawn.
