Shallow Alluvium Aquifer definition

Shallow Alluvium Aquifer means the material deposited by flowing water generally during, or after Pleistocene glaciation that is sufficiently permeable to conduct groundwater and to yield water to wells and springs.

"Supplemental Irrigation Water" means water used for irrigation, as a secondary supply, once it becomes apparent that the primary supply will be unable to meet the full annual demand. 52. "Surface Acres" means the horizontal area in acres associated with the water surface in an impoundment when filled to the maximum capacity. 53. "Transfer" means (verb) to authorize a person to use all or any part of the Tribal Water Right through a service contract, lease, or other similar agreement of limited duration; (noun) a service contract, lease, or other similar agreement of limited duration authorizing the use of all or any part of the Tribal Water Right. 54. "Tribal Water Resources Department" or "TWRD" means the Chippewa Cree Tribal Water Resources Department, or any successor agency. 55. "Tribal Water Right" means the right of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Reservation to divert, use, or store water as described by Article III of this Compact. 56. "Tribe" means the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Reservation and all officers, agents and departments thereof. 57. "United States" means the federal government and all officers, agencies, departments, and political subdivisions thereof. 58. "Upper Big Sandy Xxxxk Drainage" means the sub-basin of Big Sandy Xxxxk Basin containing the reach of Big Sandy Xxxxk from its headwaters to its confluence with Box Elder Creek, as shown in Appendix 6. 59.   • Shallow well means a well located and constructed in such a manner that there is not a continuous layer of low-permeability soil or rock (or equivalent retarding mechanism acceptable to the department) at least 5 feet thick, the top of which is located at least 25 feet below the normal ground surface and above the aquifer from which water is to be drawn.

  • Area of shallow flooding means a designated AO or AH Zone on a community's Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) with one percent or greater annual chance of flooding to an average depth of one to three feet where a clearly defined channel does not exist, where the path of flooding is unpredictable and indeterminate; and where velocity flow may be evident.   • Water Surface Elevation (WSE means the height, in relation to NAVD 1988, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.

  • Aquifer means a geologic formation, group of formations, or part of a formation capable of yielding a significant amount of groundwater to wells or springs.

  • Uppermost aquifer means the geologic formation nearest the natural ground surface that is an aquifer, as well as lower aquifers that are hydraulically interconnected with this aquifer within the facility's property boundary.

  • Cultivation site means a location where cannabis is planted, grown, harvested, dried, cured, graded, or trimmed, or a location where any combination of those activities occurs.

  • Invasive plant species means species of plants not historically found in California that spread outside cultivated areas and can damage environmental or economic resources. Invasive species may be regulated by county agricultural agencies as noxious species. Lists of invasive plants are maintained at the California Invasive Plant Inventory and USDA invasive and noxious weeds database.

  • Water surface elevation means the height, in relation to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929, the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988, or other datum, where specified, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.

  • Mine means to carry on an operation with a view to, or for the purpose of—

  • Cannabis cultivation facility means a person that:

  • Condominium Plan means a plan described in Section 4285.

  • Excavate or "excavation" means ditching, dredging, or mechanized removal of earth, soil or rock.

  • Underground storage means storage of gas in a subsurface stratum or formation of the earth.

  • CO2 means carbon dioxide.

  • Cannabis plant means any plant of the genus Cannabis;

  • Diatomaceous earth filtration means a process resulting in substantial particulate removal in which (1) a precoat cake of diatomaceous earth filter media is deposited on a support membrane (septum), and (2) while the water is filtered by passing through the cake on the septum, additional filter media known as body feed is continuously added to the feed water to maintain the permeability of the filter cake.

  • Underground facility means any item which shall be buried or placed below ground for use in connection with the storage or conveyance of water, sewage, electronic, telephone or telegraphic communications, electric energy, oil, gas or other substances, and shall include, but not be limited to pipes, sewers, conduits, cables, valves, lines, wires, manholes, attachments and those portions of poles and their attachments below ground.

  • Marijuana testing facility means an entity licensed to analyze and certify the safety and potency of marijuana.

  • Plant Site (Works, Factory) means the local integration of one or more plants, with any intermediate administrative levels, which are under one operational control, and includes common infrastructure, such as:

  • Cannabis testing facility means an entity registered by

  • Total tetrahydrocannabinol means the same as that term is defined in § 3.2-4112.

  • Underground storage tank or “UST” means any one or combination of tanks (including underground pipes connected thereto) that is used to contain an accumulation of regulated substances, and the volume of which (including the volume of underground pipes connected thereto) is 10 percent or more beneath the surface of the ground. This term does not include any:

  • Permit area means the area constituted by the blocks that are the subject of a permit;

  • Pond means a natural or man-made impoundment of water with a water surface area of one acre or less at the high water level.

  • Geothermal resources shall collectively mean the matter, substances and resources defined in subparagraph 21(a) that are not subject to this Lease but are located on adjacent land or lands in reasonable proximity thereto;

  • Vegetation means trees, shrubs, nursery stock and other vegetation and includes the limbs or growth of any Vegetation.
