Shift Electrician definition

Shift Electrician means an employee with qualifications of an electrical fitter or an electrical mechanic who is engaged unsupervised on shift work and during their shift is required to be in charge of electrical generators, switchboards or any other electrical machinery or apparatus and who shall effect running repairs as necessary.
Shift Electrician means an electrician of at least 5 years' experience, who is in charge of a generating station or rotary converter sub-station during his shift and is not constantly under the supervision of a superior officer.

  • The Mill Shift Electrician will be scheduled “extra” on Wednesday for P.M. maintenance unless no paper machine is to be down or if relief is required for the Senior Electrical If the Senior Electrical Operator, Mill Shift Electrician or Shift Electrician are scheduled on Tuesday or Wednesday of a shutdown, they will work Tuesday or Wednesday and be scheduled on another day.
