Small game definition

Small game means species of protected wildlife:
Small game means all varieties of wild mammals and birds for which there is an open season, but does not include deer, moose, elk, bear, wild turkey or endangered, threatened or pro- tected species of game. For the purpose of s. 167.31 (4) (e), Stats., small game does include wild turkeys.
Small game as used herein means any of the following species of mammals: squirrels, rabbits (Cottontail, Jack, or Swamp).
