State Procurement definition

State Procurement means an agreement by a Contractor or Vendor with an agency under the jurisdiction of the Governor and/or the Office of the Governor to provide goods and/or services.

"Subcontractor means a person, partnership, corporation or other entity which enters into a contract with a contractor for performance of some or all of the contracted work. "Procurement Lobbying Activities means (i) any communication with any official or employee of State Government or any Related Government for the ultimate purpose of influencing executive, legislative or administrative action, undertaken by a lobbyist not solely a bona fide employee of the Contractor, Vendor or Bidder, where the action that the communication is intended to influence is a State Procurement or Related Procurement; or (ii) retaining an individual (who is not solely a bona fide employee of the procuring entity) or entity for the purposes of providing advice and/or counsel regarding government relations as regards State Procurement or Related Procurement. "Procurement lobbying activities for purposes of this Order does not mean the bona fide practice of law related to procurement. "Procurement authority means the authority to participate personally and substantially in decisions to award State contracts with a cumulative value of over $25,000. "Procurement authority for purposes of this order does not include counsel regarding the procurement process by an attorney acting in a legal capacity. "Lobbyist means a person registered as a lobbyist under the Lobbyist Registration Act, 25 ILCS 170, a person who should be registered as a lobbyist under the Lobbyist Registration Act, or a person who undertakes procurement lobbying activities. "Family member means father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law.

  • Default in promised delivery or failure to meet specifications authorizes the Office of State Procurement to cancel this contract or any portion of same and reasonably purchase commodities elsewhere and charge full increase, if any, in cost and handling to the defaulting contractor.

  • e-Procurement means the use of information and communication technology (especially the internet) by the Procuring Entity in conducting its procurement processes with bidders for the acquisition of goods (supplies), works and services with the aim of open, non discriminatory and efficient procurement through transparent procedures;

  • The Procuring Agency means the organization purchasing the Goods, as named in SCC.

  • Renewable Energy Credit has the meaning set forth in California Public Utilities Code Section 399.12(h) and CPUC Decision 00-00-000, as may be amended from time to time or as further defined or supplemented by Law.

  • Renewable Energy Credits means a certificate, credit, allowance, green tag, or other transferable indicia, howsoever entitled, allocated, assigned or otherwise awarded or certified by any Governmental Authority, program administrator, certification board or similar entity in connection with the production or generation of each MWh of energy from the Project.   • Renewable Energy Source means an energy source that is not fossil carbon-based, non- renewable or radioactive, and may include solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, landfill gas, or wave, tidal and thermal ocean technologies, and includes a Certified Renewable Energy Source.

  • Class I renewable energy means electric energy produced from

  • renewable energy sources means renewable sources such as small hydro, wind, solar including its integration with combined cycle, biomass, bio fuel cogeneration, urban or municipal waste and other such sources as approved by the MNRE;

  • The Procuring Entity means the organization purchasing the Goods, as named in the SCC.

  • Outsourcing facility means a facility that is engaged in the compounding of sterile drugs and is currently registered as an outsourcing facility with the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and that complies with all applicable requirements of federal and state law, including the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

  • Procurement item means an item of personal property, a technology, a service, or a construction project.

  • Procurement organization means an eye bank, organ procurement organization, or tissue bank.

  • Renewable energy system means a fixture, product, device, or interacting group of fixtures, products, or devices on the customer's side of the meter that use 1 or more renewable energy resources to generate electricity. Renewable energy system includes a biomass stove but does not include an incinerator or digester.
