Subgrade definition

Subgrade means the native material at the bottom of a sub-base.
Subgrade means soils native to or imported to a site, or other materials authorized by a Department permit or this chapter, which may be graded and compacted before a landfill liner system is constructed over them.
Subgrade means the natural ground on which the road pavement sits.
