Substitute power definition

Substitute power or “substitute electricity” means electricity that is provided to meet the terms of a power purchase contract with a specified facility or unit when that facility or unit is not generating electricity.
Substitute power prior to the Commercial Operations Date means electric energy and capacity (ii) after the Commercial Operations Date, electric energy, in each case obtained by Buyer at the direction of Seller in accordance with Section 4.7.3.

Station Power does not include any energy (i) used to power synchronous condensers; (ii) used for pumping at a pumped storage facility; (iii) used in association with restoration or black start service; or (iv) that is Direct Charging Energy.

  • net power means the power obtained on a test bench at the end of the crankshaft or its equivalent at the corresponding engine speed with the auxiliaries and equipment listed in Table 1 of Annex 4 to this Regulation, determined under reference atmospheric conditions;
