Supervised apartment living definition

Supervised apartment living or “SAL” means a foster care arrangement that provides an environment in which the youth can experience living independently in the community with minimum supervision. This arrangement prepares the youth for self-support and self-care. The child lives in an apartment unit, shops for food, prepares individual meals, and manages time for cleaning and laundry.
