TANF definition

TANF means Temporary Assistance to Needy Families as defined in Part A (commencing with Section 601) of Subchapter 4 of Chapter 7 of Title 42 of the United States Code.

  • For either the TANF or the CCDF program, the State's justification should also include an explanation of the activities requiring the obligation and/or expenditure of amounts that exceed the normal quarterly grant award restrictions and why these activities could not have been delayed until the next quarter.
