tax treaty means an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation entered into between South Africa and another country;
Tax Treatment [One or more elections will be made to treat the assets of the Trust Fund as a REMIC.] [The Trust Fund will be treated as a "grantor trust" for federal income tax purposes.]
Intended Tax Treatment has the meaning set forth in the Recitals.
Tax Laws means the Code, federal, state, county, local or foreign laws relating to Taxes and any regulations or official administrative pronouncements released thereunder.
Tax Ruling as used in this Agreement, shall mean a written ruling of a taxing authority relating to Taxes. "Closing Agreement", as used in this Agreement, shall mean a written and legally binding agreement with a taxing authority relating to Taxes.
Tax Authorities means Hong Kong or foreign tax, revenue or monetary authorities.
Treaty means the Treaty establishing the European Community, as amended.
EC Treaty means the Treaty establishing the European Communities (signed in Rome on 25 March 1957), as amended by the Treaty on European Union, as amended (signed in Maastricht on 7 February 1992).
Tax Legislation means any statute, statutory instrument, enactment, law, by-law, directive, decree, ordinance, regulation or legislative provision or generally applicable ruling (such as a revenue ruling issued by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service) enacted, issued or adopted providing for, imposing or relating to Tax; and
Tax Law means the law of any governmental entity or political subdivision thereof relating to any Tax.
Tax Ordinance means the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance [New Version], 1961, as amended.
council tax benefit means council tax benefit under Part 7 of the SSCBA; “couple” has the meaning given by paragraph 4;
Tax means any present or future tax, levy, impost, duty, charge, assessment or fee of any nature (including interest, penalties and additions thereto) that is imposed by any government or other taxing authority in respect of any payment under this Agreement other than a stamp, registration, documentation or similar tax.
PAYEE TAX REPRESENTATIONS Each representation specified in the Schedule as being made by it for the purpose of this Section 3(f) is accurate and true.

Takeover Statutes mean any “business combination,” “control share acquisition,” “fair price,” “moratorium” or other takeover or anti-takeover statute or similar Law.
VATA means the Value Added Tax Xxx 0000;
Income Tax Act means the Income Tax Act, 1962 (Act No. 58 of 1962);
Equality Legislation means any and all legislation, applicable guidance and statutory codes of practice relating to diversity, equality, non-discrimination and human rights as may be in force from time to time in England and Wales or in any other territory in which, or in respect of which, the Supplier provides the Services;
Tax Commissioner means the tax commissioner appointed under section 121.03 of the Revised Code.
Taxing Authorities means Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, Her Majesty the Queen in right of any province or territory of Canada, any municipality of Canada, the Canada Revenue Agency, the Canada Border Services Agency, any similar revenue or taxing authority of Canada and each and every province or territory of Canada (including Revenu Québec) and any political subdivision thereof and any Canadian or foreign government, regulatory authority, government department, agency, commission, bureau, minister, court, tribunal or body or regulation making entity exercising taxing authority or power, and “Taxing Authority” means any one of the Taxing Authorities;
EU Bail-In Legislation Schedule means the EU Bail-In Legislation Schedule published by the Loan Market Association (or any successor person), as in effect from time to time.
Income Tax means any federal, state, local or foreign Tax (a) based upon, measured by or calculated with respect to net income, profits or receipts (including, without limitation, capital gains Taxes and minimum Taxes) or (b) based upon, measured by or calculated with respect to multiple bases (including, without limitation, corporate franchise taxes) if one or more of the bases on which such Tax may be based, measured by or calculated with respect to, is described in clause (a), in each case together with any interest, penalties, or additions to such Tax.
Tax Authority means, with respect to any Tax, the governmental entity or political subdivision thereof that imposes such Tax, and the agency (if any) charged with the collection of such Tax for such entity or subdivision.
Foreign Corrupt Practices Act means the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of the United States, 15 U.S.C. Sections 78a, 78m, 78dd-1, 78dd-2, 78dd-3, and 78ff, as amended, if applicable, or any similar law of the jurisdiction where the Property is located or where the Company or any of its Subsidiaries transacts business or any other jurisdiction, if applicable.
Israeli Companies Law means the Israeli Companies Law, 5759-1999, as amended, and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
