Pursuant to Article 3ea(1) of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014, as of 9 April 2022, it is prohibited to provide access to ports in the territory of the Union to any vessel registered under the flag of Russia, unless the vessel is in need of assistance and seeking a place of refuge, or in case of an emergency port call for reasons of maritime safety, or for saving life at sea (Article 3ea(4)).
This Regulation applies to operations carried out in the territory of the Union, unless otherwise provided for in this Regulation.
