Thermal Stratification definition

Thermal Stratification means a characteristic of certain lakes in which distinct layers of water that differ in density exist because of temperature differences. These layers are resistant to mixing with each other.
Thermal Stratification means horizontal layers of different densities produced in a lake caused by temperature.
