Video Relay Service or “VRS” is a service which enables a user who is deaf, hard-of- hearing, or speech- disabled and who uses American Sign Language (“ASL”) to communicate with a standard voice telephone user through the Purple Product or other video equipment installed at the ASL user’s location and at the video interpreter’s location.

Video Relay Service. (VRS) means a free, subscriber-based service for people who use sign language and have videophones, smart phones, or computers with video communication capabilities.
