Water uses definition

Water uses means the protected uses prescribed by the Standards, and without limitation thereto:

Examples of Water uses in a sentence

  • Water Use – Fairfax Water uses a peak and non-peak water use charge for Hydrant Use Permit accounts.

Related to Water uses

  • Water user means a person, corporation, or other entity having a right to divert water from the Bear River for beneficial use;

  • Drainage area means a geographic area within which stormwater, sediments, or dissolved materials drain to a particular receiving waterbody or to a particular point along a receiving waterbody.

  • Stormwater runoff means water flow on the surface of the ground or in storm sewers, resulting from precipitation.

  • Water Main means (subject to Section 219(2) of the 1991 Act) any pipe, not being a pipe for the time being vested in a person other than the water undertaker, which is used or to be used by a water undertaker or licensed water supplier for the purpose of making a general supply of water available to customers or potential customers of the undertaker or supplier, as distinct from for the purpose of providing a supply to particular customers;

  • Stormwater system means both the constructed and natural facilities, including pipes, culverts, watercourses and their associated floodplains, whether over or under public or privately owned land, used or required for the management, collection, conveyance, temporary storage, control, monitoring, treatment, use and disposal of stormwater;
