World Service the BBC’s World Services as defined in its Royal Charter
World Service means the BBC’s World Services as defined in clause 64 of the Framework Agreement under its Royal Charter
World Service has the right to use, free and clear of any royalty or other payment obligations, claims of infringement or alleged infringement or other lien or encumbrance, all systems software included in or used to process the Policies and no third party will be entitled to any payment or other benefit as a result of the transfer the data processing system by World Service to Reinsurer in accordance with this Agreement. Section 10.8. There are no claims, actions, suits, investigations and administrative, arbitration or other proceedings (i) pending against World Service with respect to the Policies or (ii) threatened against World Service with respect to the Policies. World Service is not subject to or in default with respect to any order, writ, judgment, decree, injunction or similar order of any court or any foreign, federal, state or other governmental body. There are no claims, actions, suits, investigations or administrative, arbitration or other proceedings pending or threatened against or affecting World Service which individually or in the aggregate could have a material adverse effect on the Polices which could affect the validity or enforceability of this Agreement, consummation by World Service of the transactions contemplated hereby or compliance by World Service with the terms of this Agreement, and (ii) World Service is not subject to or in default with respect to any order, writ, judgment, decree, injunction or similar order of any court or any foreign, federal, state or other governmental body, the result of which being subject to or of which default individually or in 13 the aggregate could have a material adverse effect on the Polices or which could affect the validity or enforceability of this Agreement, consummation by World Service of the transactions contemplated hereby or compliance by World Service with the terms of this Agreement.

Examples of World Service in a sentence

  • Where the Script is commissioned for the Domestic Services or the World Service the BBC will pay the Writer fees in consideration of the second and all subsequent Transmissions in the Domestic Services and the World Service in accordance with the provisions set out in section 1.

  • Where the Script is commissioned for the Designated Channels the BBC will pay the Writer fees in consideration of Transmissions in the Domestic Services and the World Service in accordance with the provisions set out in Section 1.

  • The Fee payable by the BBC for a World Service commission shall be the Two Transmissions Fee covering the Writer’s remuneration for the first two World Service Transmissions if the commission is for a Play or an Original Series.

  • The Fee payable by the BBC for a joint commission between World Service and any one of the Domestic Services (for example Radio 4) shall be the Two Transmissions Fee covering the Writer’s remuneration for the first Transmission in each of the respective Services (and the additional fees set out in Schedule Two Single Transmission Fee Option will be paid for any further Transmission in either Service respectively).

  • A transmission cycle in the World Service shall mean unlimited transmissions within an eight day period with the intention of enabling the programme to be heard throughout the world.

  • World Service engagement fees grant two transmission cycles (or one transmission cycle if applicable) on payment of the same engagement fees as Core Services.

  • Payable for the first or any subsequent BBC Network Broadcast repeat or BBC World Service Broadcast Cycle repeat which may be made either as originally broadcast or in separate parts (as separate Performances or otherwise).

  • The following payments acquire all public service uses of the programme excluding transmissions on Radios 1 – 5, Radio 4Extra and the World Service as follows: Additional Payment – percentage of Artist’s Aggregate Fee Term Conditions 4% 5 years Term starts from first transmission 6% perpetuity Payable only where artists have already received a payment equal to 4% of their fee (see above) 10% perpetuity n/a This provision only applies to programmes of a factual nature featuring minor dramatic contributions.

World Service means, when used as a modifier of, or in the context of, the subject Policies or the marketing or issuing of them, all of World Service's predecessors or subsidiaries or any other insurance company that marketed or issued any of the subject Policies.

  • Police Service ’ means the South African Police Service established in terms of section 5(1) of the South African Police Service Act;
