It is considered emergency case, furthermore, when the symptoms of the sickness (such as confusion or loss of consciousness, bleeding, acute illness etc.) or the severe health damages owing to an accident make it necessary for the Insured to proceed to medical care. The insurance covers reasonable and usual costs of the following (taking into consideration the prevailing local medical fees): – medical examination, medical treatment (hospitalisation and non postponable operation); – single medical intervention in case of acute illness as an out-patient; – purchase of medicines on doctor’s prescription; – purchase of crutch or stick ordered by a physician; – replacement of glasses or contact lenses on medical prescription due to an accident involving personal injury; – dental treatment with the aim of pain relief (excluding dentures) for maximum 2 teeth at a maximum price of EUR 150 per tooth; – costs of childbirth care, spontaneous abortion or premature delivery (till the 28th week of the pregnancy); – costs of ambulance or taxi to a hospital or a doctor in case of inability to walk.
