This study aims to determine the legitimacy and legal consequences of an underhand agreement on exchanging yard land for rice fields in Senyiur Village, Keruak District, East Lombok Regency. This research is an empirical research type. The results of this study include: an underhand agreement on the exchange of yard land for rice fields in Senyiur Village in terms of the Civil Code, Government Regulation No. 24/1997, and Customary Law is valid because it has fulfilled the legal requirements for land swaps. The legal consequences that arise are the transfer of rights and responsibilities of each exchanged land, both are responsible for future problems, and the transfer of exchanged land cannot be registered.
