ENTRY-EXIT OF THE BOUNDARY. 1. Citizens of the two countries shall, in accordance with the "Agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of the People's Republic of China on Management of Ports in Nepal-China Border Areas” signed on January 14, 2012, hold valid passports or other travel documents that are recognized by both sides, to make exit-entry of the boundary through the ports, and stay within the territories of the other side during the determined period. 2. Citizens of a third country who wish to travel through the ports shall hold valid passports or other valid travel documents, and comply with the regulations on international travelling of both countries and bilateral Agreements or international treaties to which both countries are parties. 3. Border people of the two countries may exit or enter with exit-entry pass of Nepal-China border areas, and abide by the “Agreement between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and His Majesty’s Government of Nepal on Trade and Other related Matters between the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and Nepal” signed in 2002. 4. Out of the need to carry out emergency rescue during the disaster period, relevant personnel whose names and IDs are confirmed by the competent authorities of both sides, may cross the boundary in accordance with the time and place agreed upon by both sides. ARTICLE 18 The simplification of cross-border procedures for the border people, personnel of the two countries who are entitled to build and manage the cross-border facilities, going to or working in a specific trade- economic zone of the border areas, shall be carried out according to the relevant agreements of both sides orbythe competent authorities of both sides. ARTICLE 19 Cross-border transportation, including transit related arrangements shall be carried out according to the relevant agreements between both sides or by the competent authorities of both sides. ARTICLE 20 The matters related with opening, operating, closing, type changing and temporary open/close of ports shall be determined in accordance with the “Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Nepal on Management of Ports in China-Nepal Border Areas” signed on January 14, 2012.
