Common use of Certification Differential Clause in Contracts

Certification Differential. 33 1. Nurses may apply to the Hospital and will be paid a certification differential 34 of $ 2.25 per hour as of the first pay period that includes the application date, if the 1 nurse has a current national specialty certification listed on Appendix A that is relevant 2 to the department where the nurse works the majority of his or her hours.

If a nurse moves to a different department for 26 any reason, the nurse will continue to receive the same certification pay 27 differential unless and until the certification expires, at which time the 28 nurse’s certification pay will be re-evaluated based on the certifications 29 within the new department.
