Common use of Abandonment of a Grievance Clause in Contracts

Abandonment of a Grievance. An employee who fails to present a grievance to the next higher level within the prescribed time limits shall be deemed to have abandoned the grievance, unless the employee was unable to comply with the prescribed time limits due to circumstances beyond his or her control.
