Upon the request of an employee who is absent from work as a result of a compensable injury as covered under the provisions of the Worker’s Compensation Act, the School Board will pay the difference between the compensation benefits received by the employee and the employee’s daily rate of pay to the extent of the employee’s accumulated paid absence leave.
