If Licensee is an academic institution, it may (a) supply single copies of articles from the Licensed Materials to a noncommercial library located in the same country as Licensee by mail, fax or secure electronic transmission in accordance with Section 108 of the United States Copyright Act and with guidelines developed by the National Commission of New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works (CONTU); and (b) incorporate individual articles from the Licensed Materials into electronic course packs, so long as Licensee deletes the Licensed Materials from electronic course packs at the end of the academic year in which they were used.

The Bulletin reserves the right to refuse to grant a license to any institution claiming a range of IP addresses that, in the sole opinion of the Bulletin, represents more than one campus.

(a) Software Maintenance Services and Cloud Services support included in an Offering or purchased separately by Customer, as applicable, are only provided to Academic Institutions, but not individual Authorized Users, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in local time zones of the contiguous United States, Monday through Friday, excluding SISW observed holidays. Academic Institutions will designate a trained technical contact who will serve as a focal point for administering and resolving all Academic Institution requests for support. The technical contact will use commercially reasonable efforts to solve Academic Institution problems or issues related to the Academic Offering prior to contacting SISW for assistance. The technical contact will forward all service requests to SISW and will also serve as the recipient of all on-site Maintenance Services and Cloud Services support.

(1, , , ) Academic institutions could boost the development of citizen science by furthering research on citizens’ tasks and their granularity in the CH domain. (2, ) Academic institutions could extend the understanding of longer-term engagement of different profiles of volunteers. (4, ) Academic institutions and especially information behaviour scientists could help with more extensive motivational studies of volunteers in CH initiatives. (3, ) Academic institutions and especially information behaviour scientists should advance in modelling behavioural norms for various types of volunteer contributions. Within the Business Canvas model, academic institutions can play a key partnership role in citizen science projects initiated by CH institutions, but they can also be a customer of citizen science. The specific case needs to be clear in the beginning of the project. Academic institutions have further space for spreading awareness on citizen science in DH/Humanities.
