Common use of Academic Unit Clause in Contracts

Academic Unit. A unit headed by a Chair, such as a Department, Program, Library or School. A period of twelve (12) calendar months which, unless otherwise indicated, commences on September 1 of any year and ends on August 31 of the following year. An Achievement Award is an University Achievement Award awarded annually to eligible Members in recognition of outstanding achievement in one of Teaching, Research, Service, and Professional Practice/Mentorship/Stewardship.
