Acclimation Pond Sample Clauses

Acclimation Pond. Muddy and Clear Creek Update Construction began on July 8, 2013; camping areas closed during construction periods. Wetland mitigation was required by the ACOE. Links to the construction drawings were provided to the ACC for their review on June 28, 2013. Hatchery Upgrades Below is the current schedule for remaining hatchery upgrade projects detailed in Section 8.7 of the Settlement Agreement: Projects scheduled for completion in 2013  Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx – Upgrades to the PLC, metering and alarming at the ozone facility remains on schedule for 2013  Speelyai Hatchery – Conversion of Pond 14 to raceways – This project remains on schedule for completion in 2013. Projects scheduled for 2014  Speelyai Hatchery – Modifications to the intake structure has been delayed due to county requirements for a geotechnical survey to be completed prior to issuance of the shoreline permit. This work will cause the project to miss the in water work period of the state and therefore delay the project until 2014  Xxxxx River Hatchery – Modifications and structural support for the downstream intake. Screw Traps Both the Eagle Cliff and lower Xxxxx River screw traps have been removed for the year. The Eagle Cliff trap caught a lot of fish relative to the lower Xxxxx River trap which had disappointing catch rates. The HSS will need to determine options for 2014 and we can discuss this at the August 7 meeting. PacifiCorp is waiting for the raw data sets to be provided by WDFW for both the traps. Hatchery & Supplementation (H&S) Program A Hatchery and Supplementation team meeting has been scheduled for August 7, 2013 to discuss two main topics. First, is a discussion regarding the wild winter steelhead program and protocols for 2014. A substantial number of program fish returned to the river this year and we need to develop protocols to distinguish progeny from these fish and progeny of true wild fish (if possible). Xxxxx has invited geneticists to this meeting to provide possible solutions to this problem. We will also need to discuss the program size and whether changes need to be made given the returns observed. The other issue is the development of a genetic mark recapture protocol for fall Chinook. Xxxxxx Upstream Construction Status The existing adult collection facility at Xxxxxx Dam was decommissioned on June 28, 2013 to allow for construction activities for the new facility scheduled to come on-line at the end of this year. The old 1933 components are being removed and rep...

Acclimation Pond. Crab Creek, Clear Creek and Muddy River Status Karchesky (PacifiCorp) reported that both the Clear Creek and Muddy River site were watered up during the week of February 2nd, 2015. Other than some minor repairs, the Clear Creek site is ready to be stocked. Approximately 25,000 to 30,000 smolts are scheduled to be planted. Despite routine screen cleaning and several flushing events, low dissolved oxygen levels continue to be an issue at the Muddy River site. Dissolved oxygen levels ranging between 4 and 5 mg/L have been consistently recorded. The low oxygen levels are being caused by an iron oxidizing bacteria that is prevalent in the pond (see picture below). Because of these poor water quality conditions, the ACC agreed to stock the pond with no more than 5,000 fish (or less at PacifiCorp’s discretion) this year. The remaining fish will be directly released at the Clear Creek Bridge similar to 2014. Discussion took place about building a temporary tank for 2016 and concern about fish health was expressed. Acclimation fish will be tagged with PIT tags on February 25th and 26th, 2015; stocking to begin in early March. The Crab Creek Acclimation Pond is scheduled to be in operation in spring 2016.
Acclimation Pond. Maintaining adequate inflow and pond elevation has been the largest challenge for this site. During spring 2014, approximately 9,000 smolts were stocked in to the Clear Creek Pond, however all fish were released the following week due to low river conditions and reduced inflow. In August 2015, rip-rap was added along the shore near the intake largely improve the structural integrity of the intake structure, but it was also thought to improve inflow. However, similar to the Muddy River Site, the Clear Creek Acclimation Pond sustained heavy damage during the December 2015 high water event. PacifiCorp in coordination with the ACC are in the process of deciding the future of this site.
Acclimation Pond. Crab Creek Status On track to complete construction on Crab Creek in 2015 for operation in 2016. An approval letter from the NMFS is needed. Haspiel will forward the email in question to Xxxxxxxx Xxx at NMFS and request a formal written approval. Acclimation Ponds Crab Creek: This project is slated for work to begin summer 2015. Muddy River and Clear Creek: In mid February 2015 PacifiCorp plans to water up the ponds and confirm water quality is sufficient in the Muddy River pond; there will be a full complement of 100,000 fish and 10% of the fish will be PIT tagged.

  • Electric Storage Resources Developer interconnecting an electric storage resource shall establish an operating range in Appendix C of its LGIA that specifies a minimum state of charge and a maximum state of charge between which the electric storage resource will be required to provide primary frequency response consistent with the conditions set forth in Articles 9.5.5, 9.5.5.1, 9.5.5.2, and 9.5.5.3 of this Agreement. Appendix C shall specify whether the operating range is static or dynamic, and shall consider (1) the expected magnitude of frequency deviations in the interconnection; (2) the expected duration that system frequency will remain outside of the deadband parameter in the interconnection; (3) the expected incidence of frequency deviations outside of the deadband parameter in the interconnection; (4) the physical capabilities of the electric storage resource; (5) operational limitations of the electric storage resources due to manufacturer specification; and (6) any other relevant factors agreed to by the NYISO, Connecting Transmission Owner, and Developer. If the operating range is dynamic, then Appendix C must establish how frequently the operating range will be reevaluated and the factors that may be considered during its reevaluation. Developer’s electric storage resource is required to provide timely and sustained primary frequency response consistent with Article 9.5.5.2 of this Agreement when it is online and dispatched to inject electricity to the New York State Transmission System and/or receive electricity from the New York State Transmission System. This excludes circumstances when the electric storage resource is not dispatched to inject electricity to the New York State Transmission System and/or dispatched to receive electricity from the New York State Transmission System. If Developer’s electric storage resource is charging at the time of a frequency deviation outside of its deadband parameter, it is to increase (for over-frequency deviations) or decrease (for under-frequency deviations) the rate at which it is charging in accordance with its droop parameter. Developer’s electric storage resource is not required to change from charging to discharging, or vice versa, unless the response necessitated by the droop and deadband settings requires it to do so and it is technically capable of making such a transition.
