Common use of Acting or Interim Assignment Clause in Contracts

Acting or Interim Assignment. (a) An ASF Member who is assigned on an acting or interim basis to a position in a higher range in the bargaining unit shall be compensated at a salary which, at a minimum, is the nearest higher salary in the new salary range, plus one (1) step. An ASF Member who is assigned on an acting or interim basis to a position in a higher range will have the right to return to the ASF Member’s former position at the same range and step as if the ASF Member had been continuously employed in the former position. Any acting or interim assignment with an expected duration greater than one (1) year shall be subject to meet and confer with the local Association.
