Room Assignment. The Landlord will assign rooms in accordance with the current assignment practice set by Residence Services. The Landlord reserves the right to transfer or move Tenants when deemed necessary. Tenants failing to arrive within 48 hours of the specified move-in date, without informing Residence Services of the delay, will lose their room assignment.
Room Assignment. While every effort will be made to accommodate the Resident’s choice of room style, floor type and suitemate, Humber Residences cannot guarantee a Resident’s preferences will be met. Failure to meet a Resident’s preferences does not absolve the Resident from any of the obligations contained herein.
Room Assignment. A. Submission of a housing application or Agreement does not guarantee me a Room in University Housing.
B. I will be assigned based on my assignment priority to any available Room within the Residence Hall System regardless of rate including, but not limited to, a triple Room, apartment or temporary housing space. Information about temporary housing can be found at xxx.xx.xxx/xxxx.
C. I may be assigned to any available Room regardless of assignment preferences expressed by me including, but not limited to, building, Room type, Living Learning Community and Roommate preferences.
X. X will accept my assigned Room in the Residence Hall System through the end of the Agreement Period.
E. My EFS or academic year Room assignment may be adjusted after I have been notified of my assignment to eliminate the need for me to move between EFS and autumn quarter.
F. HFS will release my name, email address and telephone number to my assigned Roommate.
G. HFS reserves the right to reassign me to a different Room at any time for any reason that is reasonable under the circumstances including, but not limited to, the welfare of residents; a violation of Community Standards or the Student Conduct Code; to accommodate facility operations or repair; to accommodate students with disabilities; to use available space more efficiently; or to further the best interests of the University and/or its community. I may be required to move with a 48-hour notice.
H. If a space is available in my Room, I may be assigned a Roommate without prior notification.
I. If a space is available in my Room, I will keep the available space clean and accessible. If I fail to do so, I will be charged the daily Room rate for both the unavailable space and my assigned space until the space is clean and accessible, and I may be subject to disciplinary action.
Room Assignment. 7.1 Room assignments for new students are made by Residential Life staff. Roommates are matched according to the personal preference information submitted on the housing application.
7.2 The Resident understands and agrees that the housing contract is for a room assignment determined by the University, not a specific room.

7.4 Students who need a specific type of living environment due to a documented medical/health condition must register and apply for a housing accommodation through the Center for Students with Disabilities. It is strongly recommended that any such requests be made by July 1 for the fall semester, and December 1 for the spring semester.
7.5 The decision to reassign is made by the Executive Director of Residential Life or designee in consultation with other professional staff. Residential Life reserves the right to change a student’s housing assignment when deemed necessary, including, but not limited to, the following situations:
7.6 The designated occupancy of a room is determined by the University and may change at any time. If a vacancy occurs in a room, the remaining student(s) in that room should expect a new occupant at any time. Uncooperative or unwelcoming residents, including but not limited to residents who move their belongings into the vacant space, will be referred to the community standards process which may result in loss of housing privileges, probation, suspension, or expulsion.
Room Assignment. 8.1 During the stipulated period of stay, the assigned Room shall be for the use of the following persons only: Single room Licensee only Shared room Licensee with such other licensees as may be assigned and approved by the University only Married student or family accommodation Licensee with the registered occupants approved by the University only
8.2 The Licensee shall not be eligible for any change or transfer of the Room or Hostel except under exceptional circumstances as determined and approved by the Management Office/s.
8.3 The University reserves the right, at any time on sufficient notice being given, to reassign another room in the Hostel to the Licensee.
8.4 Where a Licensee is occupying a double room, the University will have the right, for optimal use of its housing resources, to relocate the Licensee to another room or to assign another licensee to share the double room with the Licensee.
8.5 During the vacations, the University will have the right to relocate and consolidate licensees, including the Licensee, to designated blocks or hostels to maximise the occupancy in these blocks or hostels so as to enhance the personal safety of the residents and for better operational efficiency.
8.6 The University reserves the right to relocate the Licensee to another room or hostel for temporary occupancy in the event of any repair works, maintenance or improvement works, pest control or housekeeping works, emergency or unforeseen circumstances warranting such relocation.
8.7 The Licensee shall not be entitled to any refund of the accommodation fees or any other related charges or be entitled to any compensation arising from any such relocation described above.
Room Assignment a. This agreement is for a bed space in a University operated apartment or residence hall room and does not guarantee any specific room assignment. The University will attempt to accommodate the requests of students for specific roommates and spaces, but does not guarantee requests. All requests for specific roommates must be mutual.
b. The University reserves the right to accept, reject, cancel, or change any room assignment at its discretion at any time during the occupancy period. Students administratively moved will be responsible for any increase in room rate. If space becomes available in a room for any reason, the Office of Housing and Residential Life may fill the vacancy and/or consolidate space by moving residents at its discretion.
c. In the event it is necessary, three people may be temporarily assigned to a double-capacity room and later reassigned as space becomes available. If the University requires that three students remain in a double-capacity room past the University census date, a pro-rated refund of the housing fee will be credited to each student’s account. These refunds do not apply to students occupying rooms that have permanent capacity for three people. In making or changing room assignments, Xxxxxxx University complies with all federal and state regulations regarding non-discrimination.
d. The Office of Housing and Residential Life reserves the right to utilize expanded housing on a temporary basis until standard occupancy space becomes available. Off-campus locations may be used to house students in the event of significant excess of demand.
Room Assignment. Room assignments for new students are made by Residential Life staff. Roommates are matched according to the personal preference information submitted on the housing application. Efforts are made to accommodate roommate requests when they are mutual and submitted within the publicized timeframe and per availability each semester.
Room Assignment. The Department does not guarantee an assignment to a specific complex, building, room, roommate, room type, or room occupancy (single, double, or triple). The Department reserves the right to consolidate, change the occupancy designation, or change the assignment either in advance of check-in or after the start of the term. If one of the occupants of a double occupancy room moves out, another occupant will be assigned to that Room by the Department. If no such assignment can be made, upon notification by the Department, the remaining occupant will exercise one of the following options: (a) locate another roommate who agrees to be reassigned to the occupant's Room, (b) be reassigned to a double occupancy room chosen by the Department, or (c) be reassigned to single occupancy, if available, and pay the single occupancy rate. In the event there is maximum utilization of facilities and no assignment can be made, the Department will notify the Student at which time any fees paid by the Student will be credited to the Student’s account.
a. The University reserves the right to contract for comparable student housing accommodations in the event of excessive occupancy, available facilities, natural disaster, etc. The Student agrees that all terms and conditions of this Agreement are applicable in the event that additional student housing accommodations must be secured.
b. Students who have not properly occupied their Room by 12 p.m. on the first day of classes and have not notified the Department of their late arrival may be reassigned based on the needs of the Department.
Room Assignment. 1. Residents are assigned to a room by Residence Administration. Only the Residence Administration may make room assignments and approve room changes.
2. While every effort will be made to accommodate preferences in Residence, and/or suite- mates or house-mates, Residence cannot guarantee a resident’s preferences will be met. Failure to meet a resident’s preferences does not absolve the resident from any obligations contained within this document, and the Residence Community Living Standards.
3. Applicants who wish to have their residence or room preference considered in light of special circumstances including medical grounds must submit the Residence Accommodation Form found under Applying for Residence, General Information at xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxxxx.xx/residence, together with all applicable supporting documentation by the deadline indicated on the form.
4. Rooms are provided only for the resident to whom they are assigned and may not be sold, loaned, sublet or transferred.
1. Changes by Residence Administration
a. Residence Administration reserves the right to move residents from one Residence to another (or to another room) if it is deemed by Residence Administration to be in the best interests of the resident and/or the Residence community.
b. Residence Administration has a responsibility to reduce losses in revenue by filling vacancies that may occur throughout the year. Residents must be prepared to welcome a new suite/housemates in the event that a vacancy occurs in a suite/house. Similarly, if vacancies remain unfilled, Residence Administration may need to consolidate rooms. Residence Administration may affect consolidation when necessary by requiring a resident to accept a new roommate or move to a new room. In some circumstances, and at the discretion of Residence Administration, a resident may be permitted to remain in their room for an additional fee. Advance notification will be given to those residents affected.
c. Residence Administration, at its sole discretion, may change the Residence or room assignment of a resident who is subject to disciplinary action or whose behaviour is deemed to threaten the health and safety of other Residents.
d. Residence Administration reserves the right to make assignments, provide alternate arrangements or substitute services as necessary in the event of an emergency.
Room Assignment. The assignment of the Premises set out in the Confirmation Letter is carried out in accordance with the University of Saskatchewan’s current housing assignment policy as administered by its Residence Services Office. The University of Saskatchewan reserves the right to transfer or move Residents when deemed necessary. Failure to arrive by the specified move-in date, without informing the Residence Services Office of the delay, will result in the termination of this Residence Agreement and the loss of the Resident's reservation of the Premises.
