Common use of Acting Temporary Higher Capacity Clause in Contracts

Acting Temporary Higher Capacity. Any employee who is temporarily required to accept substantially the responsibilities and carry out the duties of a position in a higher classification for more than four (4) consecutive hours in a day, shall be paid for the period worked in the higher classification and shall receive an additional eight percent (8%) above their normal classification rate during the period so worked. If the temporary assignment is to a position in a lower classification, the employee will continue to be paid at the employee’s regular rate.
