Activity During Working Hours. Employees shall, after giving appropriate notice to their supervisor, be allowed reasonable time off during regular working hours, with pay, to attend grievance hearings or meetings called and agreed to by the Employer, provided such employees are entitled or required to attend such meetings by virtue of being Union representatives, witnesses or grievants, and such attendance does not substantially interfere with the Employer's operations.

Activity During Working Hours. When grievance meetings, labor management meetings and meetings of committees established by this contract are held at the Employer’s request during working hours, then employees shall be paid for such time. This includes attendance at such meet- ings by employees acting as Union representatives, stewards, witnesses or grievants. Nothing shall prevent the Employer from holding such meetings outside of working hours.

Where feasible and where equipment is readily available, the Employer shall allow designated IFPE representatives reasonable use of telephone and state-owned fax machines for the purpose of investigating and processing grievances. Such use shall not include any long distance or toll telephone calls at the expense of the Employer.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.
